Translate your name into KANJI
KANJI means Chinese character in fact. But I am Japanese.
Why I know these character? [The left character(KANJI) means KANJI]
Because we are using that character in usual,
but it's different between Chinese and Janpanese.
The difference is pronounciation and the form(shape) too.
So It is hard to communicate between Chinese and Japanese.
But the old style KANJI is same, becase Chinese character come into Japan about 2,000 years ago.
Can you guess how many character are there?
I've never count, according to a dictionary, there are more than 50,000 character.
Usually we are using about 3,000 (maybe). And each character have some meaning.
For instance, Look at two character of left side.
These character means English language for two character.
The left one means English, beautiful stone, excelent object, and so on.
The right side one means language, tell, talk, story, and so on.
And then, we choose and combine each meaning English + language.
Another character also have many meaning like this example.
Can you guess how created these character?
The left one is the biginning character(Old style character) of water.
Do you feel that character looks like flowing water?
Few thousand later, change to right side character.
This character also have another meaning.
Water, water level, be get wet, and so on.
How do you image to see the left letters?
And why I said letters but character?
These letters is not KANJI and show pronounciation only.
It means KATAKANA & HIRAGANA like a alphabet.
We use these letters too. The first line is KATAKANA.
Especially, We use for name, object and something from abload.
Do you feel more square than HIRAGANA, the line of under?
Japanese language is used KANJI, KATAKANA & HIRAGANA.

KANJI=Blue
KATAKANA=Red
HIRAGANA=Green
